others.

- What you can say: The cost of contraception doesn't justify its exclusion. Universities must not penalize female students in an effort to lower their costs.
Access to contraception is particularly important for women in their college
years. Furthermore, exclusion of contraception from student insurance
prescription plans may constitute sex discrimination under Title IX of the Civil
Rights Act. Insist that your university do the right thing.
- What you can do: Send a letter to the person or people in charge of
deciding on the student insurance plan, and keep the pressure on by encouraging other students, faculty, and staff to ask for contraceptive coverage, too.
